FM

I've heard Cobra is pushing for it. They probably already have a radio waiting in the wings, ready to go into production upon approval.

I think President was also in on the deal as well, they have plenty of AM/FM radios already built.
The thing will be getting the FCC stamp on them.
And a little tid bit of info about that process.
FCC no longer does in house testing of radio for approval , they are now sent to third party labs, tested, and the test results are then sent to the FCC.
One such facility is CKC Labs here in California.
I have been up there a couple times doing work for them.
They were doing some testing on General Electric equipment one time, and they showed up were I was working my day job , looking for 1/4 x 1/4 hardware cloth to use for shielding. They had RF leaking out of a enclosure and needed to shield it.
They also do testing for other products used in the Space Industry.

Only problem I see is how easy these radios are to go out of band.
Many of these are " Multi Norm" that is, in Europe there are many country's that use these radios so it is easy to change bands for your country.
IF the FCC will allow these to be approved for US use is the question, or will it need to be a rock solid lockout for here in the states.
Only time will tell that story.
