In a mid 80's film called "Salvador" w/James Woods and Jim Belushi, the common folk in El Salvador drank a cheap distilled liquor called 'tic-tac'. Basically mixed/made from about anything that can be fermented and distilled - with no particular formula. Is that 'aguardiente' stuff the same thing? Or it is an acquired taste with a specific blend?
