Look, a Palomar Mega runs 2X12 mosfets is good for 300-500 PEP and has a average amp draw of 22 amps. So if you really think that 8 fet Galaxy is going to draw 35 amps, all I can say is go for it.

AM - 1kc tone 95% modulated = 200 watts @ 28 amps
SSB - with 2 tone injection = 200 watts @ 35 amps

I tried to push it a little harder but it just increases IMD and you will immediately see the modulated waveform on the scope go to crap.

amen, unfortunatly most truckers would be lost without a 2 digit channel readout. not to mention the carrier and speech processor settings.

My 95T only pulls about 10 amps. They dont have the DK as high on the radios. My DK on high is 40 watts. Most 250s would have at least a 70 watt dk.

went over this youll need 35 amps minium id be happier with
40amps
