Just ordered a Baeofeng GMRS 50x1 for the Ford Ranger. Also got a Midland GMRS NMO mount antenna and a fender mount to put it opposite of the factory antenna. Now I need to find the right mount for the radio.

Yeah, I need some more supply (mounts, etc) to be able make finished installs on pickup & travel trailer.
Might squeeze in a couple of the cheap Baofengs.

One neat thing about GMRS is that people can put up repeaters for them. So the idea just popped into my head, what about a Gmrs to CB repeater? And use a GMRS handheld like a Uniden wireless microphone?

I've got access to some galaxy 919 & 929 refurb radios both in the red with Mitsubishi bipolar and blue with mosfets. Not ssb capable but just might be worth for putting away.

The problem is when the band opens the CB side would lock up the repeater with the CB radio unsquelching constantly. And then if you care about such things there may be legal issues since GMRS users need to be licensed.

These guys build chips for everything from fighter jets to smart phones.

This is the primary company, the Chinese Mainland Gov. wants to get control of.
This will, even on "Fast Track" construction will most likely not be ready for operation until 2023-4.
Their primary output will be for Automotive "Chips" at first.
Intel, is racing to build a similar facility next to the Computer Processor building plant here in US also.
Good Jobs generated, good jobs continue once operation for both plants begin to go full swing.
