hams harassing cbers what can be done?

No back yard? That must suck. I have a 100yd driveway in front and 63,000 acres out back ............. don't come snoopin 'round here!
 
I used to have a 200 yrd. driveway and no idea how many acres around.

oh we know there hams we have known them for years we know where they all live to but we dont say there address over the air like they do to us.And yes they found where we live cause one guy doesnt work and drives around all the time in his car before it gets dark using the meter on his radio finding the cbers by the antenna on the house and the signal its not hard to do.I have a tape of these hams doing this over 2 hours of them being stupid.I feel if I report them then they will make up a lie and say im using an amp or an illegal radio and im not im using a stock president washington with no amp and an antron.think ill take a break from radio for a while its to dumb but they should be reported.
 
If you don't have an illegal station, and they may very well have one - what have you got to fear?
ANS: NOTHING!
Find out their call signs.
Report them.

How do you know they are Hams?
Did you hear them on Ham bands?
How was that possible?
Did someone tell you they were Hams?
How do you know?
Did they tell you they were?

I still think they are CBers set on 'stupid'...

You're not biased are your Robb? as I stated before type their name into the fcc data base and find their call sign or just send their address to the fcc with your complaint and let nature take it's course.
 
Hey Mack, complete hijack here for a moment, but I just clued in on your signature. I don't dispute the quote in your signature line as being from Samuel Clemens,Mark Twain to some, but are you sure that God didn't create monkeys because he was dissapointed in man? :biggrin:

Biased? I wouldn't say that is quite true. The 'hate and dissatisfaction crowd' or "H & D crowd" or "CB @$$hole" (as they call themselves) still exists and is alive and well on the radio in the Bay Area of California. Known more than a few of them ever since I was on the radio back in the early 80's; the same bunch are still out there too! They go out and cut people's coax and even go as far as stealing radios. They look as it as fun; but it is still burglary and/or vandalism - no matter how you cut it. These "H & D folk" are really 'wanna-be' terrorists. They lie about anything and everything for $#!+$ and giggles.

So, from my experience, Hams - like anyone else - can do stuff like that. But it is almost unheard of in the Bay Area. None of the Hams that I know of/or heard of in the Bay Area stoop this low. That is why I suspect CBers are doing this.

Biased? No.
Helping the person who started this thread get a real clue/grip? Yes...

If it was Hams doing this, I wouldn't be surprised.
But around here, the Hams are extremely well-behaved.

'Stupid' may have been a poor choice of words on my part. More like 'foolish'...
