i used to get more grief from the cops..
wondering what the heck gear i had..that would blank out their radios as i was talking..
I got a few cool looks of interest when speaking of ISS also.
I never had though any major issues like you are describing.

When I first started working as a Paramedic back in the 70's, the county i worked for made us wear navy blue pants, spit shined low quarter shoes, white shirt and clip on tie and a BIG SHINY METAL badge. We hated it, kept telling the chief and commissioners that we looked like cops.
They finally kept the shoes and pants, but changed the shirt to a light blue and dropped the tie and badge. Then everyone started bitching that we looked like gas station attendants.
It all paid the same, so I didn't give a shit.
In today's crazy ass world I sure wouldn't want to look like a cop.

Anyways , it is what it is here. Iv learn to deal with morons. I plan on moving next year anyways not sure if i want to move more north of cali or move out of state yet.

@ Geoexplorer69:Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.
