Yes this is very true, I have said this before and it still holds true that there will never be quality equipment produced for CB again. There market is just not there anymore. While yes some stuff is going for big dollars its a small select few that are purchasing it. For a manufacture to tool up and start producing something quauity like we had would cost millions and the market is not large enough to support it.

And yet they continue to sell. Would I pay that? No. But some will.
I will say I wished I had bought that pristine Cobra 2000 with the extra speaker I was offered for 200 bucks about 20 years ago though.

Right, you have to add tax and shipping on top of that(wait, also duties if we are talking international shipping). On the flip side I wouldn’t need an antenna since I sold the truck to buy the radio.
