I REALLY miss the days of being a traveling musician in the late 60s and early 70s. We were treated like gods by the girls, like criminals by the public, and like threats by the boyfriends. There were times we couldn't eat because the restaurants threw us out, or other customers would threaten to kill us. There were motels that refused us, even tho the VACANT sign was well lit. There were small towns around the country with big-bellied sheriffs that would escort us out of town. With all the hassles, the threats, the kids chasing us wanting to cut our hair, the terrible or lack of service by motels and restaurants... was it really worth it? Bet your ass it was!! And I miss it, terribly.
