One other thing I wondered about was K1. What does that relay on the radio board do? Does it key only when the transmitter is keyed? If so, use its coil voltage.
Sorry I missed this. The relay does not energize on TX. I believe it is for PA mode.

Why not use the jack for the CW KEY unless you have a need for it?
That is a neat little board. Looks great, how did you put the traces on it?
I also have a way of doing a key line that works regardless of radio, and only requires a relay and a couple pieces of wire, but it has to be a DPDT relay. Let me know if you want info if your current setup doesn't work out.

Hey buddy just found this thread and wanted to say great job ! I have not made a board in 30 years in "technology lab" in school but I'm super impressed with your work ! I know its not rocket science but I would have built it out of loose components , heat shrink and soldier blobs lol .
Great work and quite inspiring , I was going to buy a new roger beep/noise toy box . Now im designing a circuit with a micro SD card slot and small led display as a interface touchscreen ! Will post pics and design when I work out the bugs .
Thanks again for the inspiration , Four-Two-Zero (Brian) in New Jersey
