I know the Performer and Turbo 5000 is where its at. I just dont like that adjustment ( either the knob or the :joint: ) that is there. I seen that the have the Megawatt 4000 series and High Power 4000 series antenna that does not have those features above Im dont want.

Would they work the same as the Performer/turbo 5000? Any other differences? Thanks guys.

I've got the turbo 5000 which is a twist adjustment. The fold over design doesn't bother me because no one really can tell its a fold over. I just look at it as a vertical adjustment design that you can utilize on slanted surfaces. I think you would be happy with the turbo 5000 if you could see one up close.

Twist lock fold down design. You really don't notice that its a fold down antenna. it's design makes it useful for vertical adjustment.

What bothers me is the extra length I don't want or need. See where it says sirio in that picture towards the bottom of the antenna is what? What is it, an additional 4" or so? I'd like a sirio that has nothing under the words and goes straight into a mag mount, similar to the wilson1000

I don't want any extra added length. I don't want nor need the folding feature, so if I can get one that doesn't have it, even better.

oneeyed, i would also go with the 4000 based on your requirements....

the whip length on the 4000 is supposed to be 2030mm(79.17in) vs the 1965mm whip length on the 5000(76.63in) this should make up the difference in height because of the additional base height on the 5000.

as mentioned before i doubt that you would notice much difference between two similarly height antennas, however your mileage may vary-everyone's install may have it's own unique characteristic. but that is what I would do and I like your thinking on this, hmmm...i may have to try the 4000 now that you mentioned it and got me thinking about it!
:tongue::thumbup:

enjoy the hobby.

I'd suggest researching to get the right through-roof mount if you go that route, IMO Sirio's site and catalogue are kinda vague as to what mount fits which antenna.
