Matching EKL ERF2030 Transistors?? HOW

Just caught this - DTD 9-18-2018

How nice...A (pixleated) PSA from his shop that makes all that $$$ off of radios - he did this...about "Latest Batch From Stryker" - looks like either hes' trying to fool others or there may be a biasing issue but cannot see it well in the useless video - its' so blurry you can't see all that he is talking about...

Enter here at your own risk...

He does post a comment about anyone else complaining about the pilxelated video

It appears he will delete comments - implied by the above comment

The Below is a copy of the immediate post and comment section he posted - so it's archived here if he decides to change his "tune" - for there are several contradictions of emphasis on both the Video Comment and the Comment section below it...

The reason why I'm doing this is due to the claims in the Video description and in the Comment section.

One one view - he implies that he does better work than anyone else...
Another view - he follows NIST guidelines...
Self contradictory...You can read below - if you have the stomach for it - so you can read how he reveals his true nature...

Scope watts or nope watts, take your pick. Tired of misleading BS yet? If they don't show you or do so in a deceiving way, you've been mislead. Learn to identify "Golden Screwdriver / Software Jockeys and Scammers". *Note: There'll always be drama regarding my disgruntled competitors and their followers, they're just doing their best. When "Ready", pm me on Facebook including phone number. Contact information below, don't be in a hurry!

"Radios not only transform signals into waves, they transform waves into sound"

Meter swinging over-modulated radios with a noisy receiver and miscalibrated "S" Meter have been "peaked & tuned", comp-tuned or so-called Hi-Fi mods performed and misaligned by a Golden Screwdriver magician. Yes, magician not technician.

Internet, Facebook, and truck stop competition tunes are useless in the Real World. Not only do they produce a noisy receiver, they'll bleed your wallet and all over neighbors too! Years ago, while still accepting walk-ins, this was about 90% of all radio related issues and complaints from customers nationwide .. Still Is!!

****How to recognize****
They'll ask you to "look at the meter" or other test equipment stacked up the wall claiming that a pure waveform on a "O"scope isn't necessary. Odds are it's because they cant! If they did, they'd expose themselves as a Hack. RUN!!!

They'll poise their meter farm at you while making strange vocal sounds, whistling or injecting some unknown tone into the mic socket while trying to convince you that distortion is considered rms, average or Bird watts and usable power. NOT! Get That Part? PAY ATTENTION!!

Most don't have a clue what each unit of measurement represents, how to derive it or have an accurate way of testing but they sure do put on a show! This might look impressive to some but in reality, these tunes produce "Far Less Usable Power". Sound familiar? Many have fallen for these "tricks" so don't feel bad.

"Software Jockeys" claiming to be an "Engineer" (lol) don't do or show you anything useful at all. They either copy and paste (Plagiarism) or talk a lot trying to baffle you with their "BS" while hiding behind a pseudonym (Extra channels, Channel King Boards, CB Kidd, Stinger Boards etc). This type has no integrity, practical or "Real World Experience" at all whatsoever! Ever hear them on the radio? Right!

***Real World Performance***
Do your due diligence! Demand the testing and tuning of your equipment on a minimum 100 MHz **Analog** Oscilloscope, Bird 4314c meter or equivalent and a 1 GHz spectrum analyzer / Service Monitor with a NIST (https://www.nist.gov/) Traceable "Certification of Calibration". It's the only accurate way of measuring spurious emissions, harmonics and true power @ the fundamental frequency replicating "Real World Performance".

All test equipment and gear under test including meter, scope, spectrum analyzer, sampler, radio and amp if applicable must be in plain sight at all times while gear is under test, fully modulated. Inducing distortion though meter using un-calibrated test equipment is misrepresentation and an illusion playing on your ignorance while insulting your intelligence!

If they cant display everything all at the same time while under test, explain ac volts, pep, pk, cw, rms (Ohms Law), capacitance, inductance and the basic principles of a phase shift then how do you expect them to accurately test, tune or align your system? Ever wonder why they attempt to replicate or imitate everything I do and say but yet fail miserably in a deceiving way? They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but in this case it could be $$ out of you pocket.

Fine Tune CB adheres to NIST and other standards to maintain accuracy and consistency for providing "Real World Performance" with integrity. https://www.nist.gov/

The Bench: HP8924c Service Monitor. A comprehensive list below in the comments section including dBm to watts and volts tables.

"More range and reliability with peace of mind, get Fine Tuned, not peaked and ruined".

Don't let them play Three Card Monte with you because they will. Most importantly, find someone who's honest and competent, not part of Facebook CB related groups, a pseudonym on a forum, has a Service Monitor with a NIST Traceable Certification of Calibration and not just test equipment stacked up the wall trying to baffle you with BS. Never settle for less because that's what you'll get, Houdini tricks, ghost watts, "S9" out of calibration and a noisy receiver!

PAY ATTENTION! Note: Not one Reputable and experienced tech Nationwide will disagree. If they don't or wont show you .. like this .. they're stroking you, get that Part? Never settle for less! Since @Handy Andy posted the reference material I will take a stab at it.
It's comedy gold and as he points out full of contradictions.

A brief synopsis...

Use me! I am the only one that can do it!
False.

If you belong to a Facebook group you are a liar and a thief!
False. Contradictory. He is in several groups and runs one himself.

I have/use NIST/ISO certifications and standards!
False. He can't AFFORD it. None of us can. We are not large corporations or government.

I show you EVERYTHING!
False. Half of the view is occluded. You can hear instruments being changed in the background out of view. Those old Tek scopes make a "clunk" you can hear.
Real transparency is showing -everything- and not blacking out parts of the screen.
I am flabbergasted as to why nobody points this out as a total scam.

I am the only one that knows Ohms law.
False. Several people posting here alone have demonstrated this knowledge.

I am the only one that knows how to use test/diagnostic instruments.
False. He had for the longest time, and still does currently on his MSO improper termination. The MSO he has is a high impedance instrument and he is running a 50 ohm coax straight into it. I don't see or mentioned proper splitting of the line from the sampler. A "T" connector when your doing these so-called precision measurements is incorrect and will skew the results.

You need a perfect waveform!
False. Show me a perfect waveform. There will always be imperfections.
We can mitigate it. not prevent it. This is hair splitting at it's best.
This is 2018. Not Star-date 5 million where things are closer to perfect and we have warp drive.

Everyone else is a hack! I am the best. You need to wait for me!
Artificial scarcity, tearing others down, Projection, Deflection, and Narcissism.

I think that about sums it up.

NOW. for the "nitty gritty"
He is correct about clean radios.
But this is easy to achieve and in the "real world"

He doesn't let his work speak on it's own merits.
He has to attack, threaten, harass, or belittle someone else to stand out.
This is a weak mind trying to express itself forcefully. Nothing more.

Thank you for allowing me to defile pixels on your screen with this drivel.

Indeed sir!

The heavily pixelated - dare me to do it and I'll delete you - dragon said to the Hobbit...

But seriously - he "cuts and pastes" but he doesn't re-read the work...

I wasn't doing it for "entertainment" per-se - I'm doing it because, as he exercises his tights - er, rights (this is autocorrect direct from Google) to take a 5th amendment stance - I'm exercising my 2nd amendment rights to protect the truth.

It's hard to testify against yourself when the "last copy" can't be deleted simply because of his wish to change all - can't be done to protect himself, from himself, when shown the real truth.

well this should be fun...

let's start with this statement, which denotes that he knows full well who his competition (every other CB tech) is.

" *Note: There'll always be drama regarding my disgruntled competitors and their followers"

now let's see who he is talking about with some of his 'warnings'.

Right!"

Any idea who this is aimed at? i know, but i don't want to involve them in the discussion without their knowledge. it is one person, and they make youtube videos sometimes.

"has a Service Monitor with a NIST Traceable Certification of Calibration and not just test equipment stacked up the wall trying to baffle you with BS. Never settle for less because that's what you'll get, Houdini tricks, ghost watts, "S9" out of calibration and a noisy receiver!"

This one is aimed right at a radio repair tech who also makes youtube videos. if you know the shop, you know the name.

don't you think that if he knew he was 100% correct with his assertions that he wouldn't be afraid to call them out by name?

after all, the burden of proof for libel is on the plaintiff, which means that if FTCB is correct in what he prints then he has nothing to worry about.

these are nothing but targeted attacks in the hopes of increasing his market share.

BTW, i heard tell that he does do some free radio work for people.
for those that choose to send radios to his shop, you might want to inquire about getting some work done for free in exchange for positive testimonials.
I have heard this recently from two different sources.

LC

The funny thing about this whole fine tune snake oil is that i have a cobra 25ltd stock with a dipole and i can talk skip just fine, all that power is not needit.

Tempting to call Las Cruces city hall and see if anyone has registered a "Fine Tune" business. I mean, while we're talking who's legit and stuff.

That would be too cool, to find out that he's cheating the local municipality out of an occupational or business-license tax. Don't know what kind of, er, "registration" is required to operate a business legally in Las Cruces. Might not be any.

Forty years ago the claims of 'secret sauce' for your CB were a bit more plentiful than they are now. Seems like, anyway.

My advice the whole time since has been to listen for a claim that "ONLY" this guy can deliver what he claims. Any time you hear him say that nobody else can do what he does, grab your wallet tightly and run, don't walk the other way.

I'll skip the explanation why. Technology is not magic, nor secret.

Pretty naïve statements for someone that's uneducated.

"Software Jockeys" claiming to be an "Engineer"
If he checked the syllabus for EEs then he would see that they do... guess what?
Software engineering! Gee whiz. Ever wonder what makes those CB radios work?
Software!
If he checked out software developers... they are often referred to as software engineers depending on what they do. In a lot of cases software guys go to college longer than EEs.
Depends on what you specialise in.
People with these sorts of credentials don't care about people like Fine Tune saying what they say.
But, it's a really, really, weak insult. Borders on stupidity.

"has a Service Monitor with a NIST Traceable Certification of Calibration and not just test equipment stacked up the wall trying to baffle you with BS. Never settle for less because that's what you'll get, Houdini tricks, ghost watts, "S9" out of calibration and a noisy receiver!"

Last time I checked he had a bunch of test equipment stacked up too.
This is just deflection. Don't look at me even if I am describing myself.
"trying to baffle you" is what he does with "tap tap tap pay attention".
You look and you scratch your head and if you don't know any better you accept it as reality when there is nothing really there.

All these two sections convey is disinformation.
And it's not even good disinformation. It's comedic.
Only the naïve would subscribe to it which is why it's been on his videos for over a year and I bet at most half a dozen people cared about it.
I don't think either of these people has anything to be concerned with.

The "S9" out of "calibration" is really hilarious.
How can you calibrate something that has no standard??
Everyone has their own definition of what S9 is and it's the RST system to boot, which is subjective in itself.

What I would like to see, which anyone reputable would show:
1. How are these "matched pairs" being matched?
2. Where is the test data and/or datasheets for the cable assemblies?
3. What is the procedure used for calibrating the RF taps?
4. Why don't you properly terminate your Siglent DSO?

If he followed NIST or ISO or even the "textbook alignment" then these questions are really, really easy to answer.

I posted these on his latest video several hours ago.
The questions were deleted.

Tap tap tap. Pay attention. Your being ripped off.
