these are modified Maxlog's M8800 V8. ( we call them Naya Edition )
the one on the left is mine, this one has a optical channel switch (gently detent)
the one on the right side, is from my dear friend klaus, he build the two versions and use Bourns or Avego encoder's
the clarifier is now in the position of the channel switch
he replace it with a HQ precision optical encoder as a channel switch.
this one has now a real VFO.
the reason for the amazing frequency stability is they have a VCTCXO ( Voltage Controlled Temperature Compensated Crystal)
this you see only in very high segment radios, and 1 hertz step is also possible

Modifications:
- S-meter bug on AM / FM fixed
- powerful modulation mod with more bass
- optical channel switch ( gently detent )
- additional ext. S meter standard connection 2, 5mm(ext S-meter does not influences the internal display S-meter)
- additional PA-remote Jack 3,5 mm for the control of power amplifiers
- white noise (Combi) audio filter" for amazing RX (can be activated via menu)
- eliminated dull FM RX-audio
- ASQ Direkt on the Mode menu button
- 2 new high quartz crystal filters
- Anti-Audio-Feedback TX/RX

ive still got one of these awfull radios, after i program custom frequencies
i send to raido and it then resets itself to band 2 which is usless as you then
have to re enable band1 which wipes any custom channels that might have been there. great potential let down by hopeless programming.
My 10k button on mine doesn't work right,does wrong digit. Hoping by programming option through cable to PC will have a solution. Already reset it, didn't help. Has anybody else got this issue?
Also hoping to use the different colors the software offers hopefully.

Ok press 10k or nb while turning on
Release and press function for 3 seconds
Bfo tuning appears and main vfo adjusts value. Auto saves when switched off
The rest is up to you but make sure you have a 10mhz gps and a nine digit counter
Or rubidium standard.
