My Humble 11 Meter Station

What's the story on that Galaxy DX- 2517 ? Will that talk ?
Yeah, it came back around, but I took the cover off, and discovered a missing 2SC945. My RF power doesn't do much in the way of reducing RF power, and I suspect the missing transistor might have something to do with it.

There are a lot of amp builders who put together a nice looking amp, but have no idea how to make it perform properly. There are construction techniques that prevent self-oscillation and harmonic generation, that most "garage built" people don't understand. Amps without tightly wound input and output transformers with excessive lead length and improper input/output capacitance will never sound clean on the air. This "garage-built" is an example of that. It may look good on the outside, but it's what on the inside that counts.
People who clone someone's elses design don't know anything except how to copy. Paying a lot of money for their products is a waste.
