My Humble 11 Meter Station

I really miss Danny and Joe. They started it all, and were the salt of the Earth.
Many a QSO I had with
AK Ted 1973
AK Bill 2525
Both OTR drivers I know Ted passed some years back he moved out west to Wyoming
Bill was still Around last year but in poor health , we used to keep in touch through Email , there was others but would need to go through my old log book

Bill AK 2525 passed away 11 months ago, was just made aware if it yesterday.
I used to talk to him every chance I had, when I would catch the DX coming in from out west.
I knew Danny and his dad Joe personally, and we were very good friends.
My last convo with Danny, was in 2004, long after I moved away from Indianapolis.
I remember 'ol Ted, great guy as well.

Rest easy, brother Kangaroos :(

I kinda feared Bill might of passed as he usually Always replied to my Email , he used to raise German shephard puppies he had a lot of radio Equipment at his base I’m not sure if he had any family RIP Brother AK 1973

My last contact with him, was about a year ago. He had just gotten out of the hospital, and we talked about the old days when all of us Kangaroos would check in on 38 LSB on Saturday nights. Sometimes, there would be 70 or 80 check ins.
The good old days, for sure.
