As I posted in the other thread about the same thing, It's not difficult. Copper electronics has the whole antenna in stock. If you're trying to find the stand alone section forget it, and buy the following.I have been trying to find a seller and noboby seems to have any?
I ended up buying the little 12 inch piece and installed it on my imax today. It dropped the swrs down to a 1.2 on all 40. So it does work. My imax is a 2015 model that tuned up in 10 meter.
So what you are saying is you purchased the ProTrucker 10 in replacement whip and it tuned great for the 11 meter band?As I posted in the other thread about the same thing, It's not difficult. Hi thank you for the response.. Was curious about the GPK.. As far the CMC I have 4 mix 42 ferites under the antenna and. An ugly balum lol just b4 where the coax enters the shack.. Tht seems to be working fine. No more strange interference with my other equipment.. Plus I have ground from the antenna btacket.. And static/lightning arrestor on a swp ground.. Have 4 antennas up.. All have extra ground and static arrestors.. Just curious a out the top side and the GPK..I use a 102 inch whip as the top 1/3rd of my Antron 99. It blew down in a huge windstorm a couple years ago and the top part was shattered. Using the 102 whip was a quick easy solution and it works EXACTLY the same as it did before the storm.... even the SWR is the same. So I would say it's not a problem.....
Ground plane kit will do nothing to help transmit or receive, but it will help eliminate common mode currents if you have those in the shack...
