New radio help

I have almost come full circle on the optima. I'm kinda doubting I will order an optima from New Zealand. I'm thinking I'll either order one from ebay, or get a 2950. I just cannot justify the logic of paying that much to ship a radio, just so I can have a 1 year warranty. Can someone check my logic here? So I pay $350 to get a $275 radio. I have a problem with it, but luckly, I have a warranty. I pay $150ish in shipping to get it repaired. That is really close to $500 for a $275 radio. I can buy one from ebay for $269. If it breaks, I'm sure I could sell it for $50. So I buy another for $219 if I put the extra $50 to it. That comes out to $488. Still cheaper and I most likely wouldn't send it off for repair or replace it, I would buy something different if it failed. Nothing against the optima, just logistics.
