Powermax Power Supply

I have one, running my Galaxy 88, 939, Superstar 400, plus a mobile eq and a large amp on my 10" Cerwin Vegas... granted, the stereo isn't on while the Superstar is, but still... I bought the Powermax on recommendation from on here. I want to say it was Redbeard that convinced me. I do not regret it one bit.

An I'm considering ordering nuther'n. Always need a backup. If my converter currently installed running camper fails, one of these doubles the converter in place.

OK, I have one of these batteries, I use for backup "whatever". I have an Anderson style connector on it to connect it to my CB setup, or I can connect it to my battery backup supply that I have the internet modem and router on.

Can I use the Powermax to keep it maintained? Like if I connect it to my base setup, in parallel with the Powermax, I wouldn't have to worry about the power supply frying the battery from overcharge, would I? Right now I just use a Harbor Freight float charger to keep it topped up...

If this works, I'm half tempted to run some cables down to the modem's backup power supply and run both CB and backup off the battery and Powermax. It would not need that much current down to the backup, so no need for 8Ga there, but 2 birds 1 stone....

The powermax is designed to maintain batteries on campers. You can run through the battery, or right off powermax, while maintaining the battery. The converters are designed to cycle for batteries.

I just picked one of these up online, as my RD power 150amp supply took a crap on me, so plan on running the powermax with 2 deep cycle batteries to run my amps, picked it up on flee bay for $277 Canadian shipped.I plan to run off the batteries then have the powermax replenish the batteries.

I used a powermax 100 for about 2 years and before that an iota 65 amp, both did really well. If there had been powermax back when I had the iota I would have went with powermax for the lesser cost but same performance and longevity. They worked well for me.

And they seem to be stack-able so might just pick up another and ditch the batteries as I kinda uncomfortable having them (batteries) in the basement.

Well first powermax has arrived, just waiting for second one so I can stack em at 13.8v, funny thing is it says output is 100amps @ 12V, but this one adjusts from 13v-16.5v. So I would be getting less then 100amps at 13.8V? Anybody have ideas on this?
