Ranger 2980 WX /Connex CX33-SSB

Plan on making the purchase tomorrow as Sparkys was closed when I called and Doug was out of stock on the Connex. These are so similar would one be a better buy than the other? The Connex seems to price out about $60.00 more but I don't see why. Any advice on either will be appreciated.

Ask what the warranty is on each radio, Ranger has a 2 year warranty, I have no idea about the Connex.

far as warranty i cant say for sure. but they probaly perform
the same i would think.depends on what YOU want in a radio
if ya like bright blue lights id say get the connex.
if ya like having weather bands get the rci
me i like the rci wx

Connex / Ranger

Hi guys
I dont know if this has anything to do with yer decision but I have read an article that Connex recently bought Ranger. I still have the article if ya want me to send it to ya.
Beings they are the same now maybe the warranty would be similar !!!
Just a thought.

I had a 2980wx last year and was very happy with it. Swapped it cause I needed room on my desk !!!!

E mails to Ranger this Morning were Bounced back
So I have now sent an e mail to Ranger Malaysia....
