Skipper 300

Well got some necessary info today my 6lf6 conversion schematic and written instructions which I need to learn anyway one cap was broke and the 47 if was cracked going to cap it this weekend for learning i bought 8950 amp and 6lf6 kind on accident but its helping me learn i plan on staying with the 300 over and over

I found a 20 amp fuse was installed in this amp before I got it going to have to check and see why or start with a five amp on low to test dont have a variac it had a bad 100uf cap and the 47uf suppressor cap was bad when I get done I will let you know it's my first time

It was occiliationg and climbed to nine hundred when I got it shut down as fast as I could other guy put in a bigger fuse rather than find the problem but it is my fifty dollar amp a good trainer amp we will see

Not really. :whistle: What is up with quoting yourself multiple times? Also quoting others multiple times and giving the same answers each time? Also quoting people then posting no replies? Your words not mine. Just asking in order to make it easier to read and comprehend. SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO USE ALL CAPITALS AND IT IS HARD ON THE EYES. when you use no punctuation it is hard to follow especially when no capitals are used along with no periods it is hard to separate sentences and things flow together sometimes two sentence halves start to make sense until you realize there are two different sentences and the you have to back track and read it again and try to separate them that's all I was saying but you do what you think you need to do
 
I recapped the skipper I did well I think until.last 22uf cap that connects to the top plate of tubes was put in backwArds ++ with the 47uf it went kapow!!! And exploded took out new caps I put in probably. I start over. Tubes still light up so all hope may not be lost or I got parts amp one of the two
