US WWDXers: Will you be getting a FM rig?

I know FM CB is not a new thing in the rest of the world so this poll aimed at the US users here.
Now it looks like FM will become legal soon does anyone plan on getting a FM radio?



I saw another post talking about trying to establish a FM calling channel on 1 and thought was a good idea

I have export rigs with FM so that's what I would use if I encountered some FM people to talk to. Now, if this new FM mode would cause a company to make a fantastic CB rig that also had SSB, then I might be interested.

Already have several Export radio's with FM, several times a year we talk FM late at night for fun. Can't see buying a new cb unless it has SSB and FM, then I might think about it.

I've had an FM capable export for over 30 years. I can be just as annoying in that mode as any other.

I've spent the last 30+ years trying to get CB sound good. And FM sounds great, right out of the box. AM...takes a lot to get to sound right
If it catches on,,I would love experiencing with FM processing to make it sound even better.
Also FM CB works exceptionally well while offloading. AM has too much ignition noise and squelch issues. Plus the range over hills is much better then VHF here.

Yea I think the biggest growth in CB lately was the jeep/offroading users. But that has been cut off with Midlands big push for GMRS and all the "race radios" being sold. Since that stuff is all FM it doesn't really matter that they are wiring the radio in to the noisy factory harness or cig lighter.
IMO Cobra/President/Uniden could make good inroads if they came out with a decent am/fm radio kit that was geared to offroad users.

Everyone I talk with is either on ssb or am. So, no. I wont be talking fm.

As above I have several fm capable exports but whether it'll be used will be determined by how popular it becomes.

Has it been etched in stone that fm is in fact going to be legal in the USA? I know there was talk but never heard the actual yay or nay
