I can only hope it wasn't something I said ? It's been a while since I've seen any of them (that I know of) do much of any posting around here. I think even DTB hasn't attempted to answer questions in the tech section since May of this year , but yet he still gets plenty of press ? How about Nomadradio ? It's been over a year and and half since I last heard anything from him ? I can understand about Justin and Freecell and there problems , even still , these guys knew there radios and amps fairly well and it's just a crying shame how things tend to turn out from time to time. You really need to treat people fairly , no matter how good you are at what you do. There was Toll-Free who came by early last year and let his presents known , I was sorry to see him go as well. I take my hat off to all these guys I have mentioned , they helped me as well as many others with fixes and radio problems that I couldn't figure out for myself and I know I have left a few of them unmentioned. I know Bushwacker helps whenever he can and has given me many pointers over the years ,and his help , as others, has always been appreciated by me. he seems to stop around the Forum a few times a month when he has time. I hear others say they don't have the time but yet they still get the press ? I suppose it is what it is and it's just to bad these radio people don't seem to be around anymore as they once were. My radio and amp skills are truly limited but I will help others out if I can, when I can, as what has been freely given to me over the years. It's just to bad and just kind of makes me wonder why they have gone for the post (most) part ? Especially on this Forum being one of the fairest and well moderated and perfessional on the Net . (just my opinion) Peace

Excellent observation !

well I guess people just come and go , it's not like they were 86'ed , well , maybe , for the most part it just seemed like they dissapeared. Copy on the silent majority 194 , some times no news can be good news and somethings are better off not said. Now it's at 53 views and only me and you . Hmmmmm Ca-say-rah-say rah. :)

What problems did freecell have? And Justin besides having a big head what happened? Just wondering, must have missed something.

You can concider yourself blessed then Butch . It's all in black and white for all to see if you just look in the right place. It's been a while all the same , most tech's for the most part all have one thing in common , they know and many of us don't , that's why they get paid and I have always felt that those who have taken the time to help over the years deserve more then most. Why ? because it doesn't always have to be about money and attitude 24/7 . This is all besides the point. I personally miss those that didn't have problems and seemed to contribute to these Forum walls quite often with many helps ,fixes and suggestions. IM not trying to start a bashing match upon anyone in pertictular. The Forum seems to move along with or without them. My guess would be this ,moving towards greener pastures come to mind ,and green is basically what keeps the machine going for many a tech.....if you catch my drift. It's all good.

This forum does seem to have some kind of curse. Old #7, Billy Dean Ward, MacoTech, Mr Pain, Justin, Freecell. They were all pretty prolific forum gurus who all seemed to experience some kind of meltdown--often after they had LOTS of people's stuff. I know most of that eventually gets resolved, but it is usually a real problem on the customers' side of things.

DTB is holding steady so far, and Doc seems to have avoided the curse.

Did I miss anyone?

Lots of people dissapeared not only the techs or so it seems like it to me. After not being an everyday visitor for about a year alot has changed in my observation.

Hey Cheecharoonie ! Dude , your buddy Chong told us you had some problems back then and didn't have access to the Internet , I think there was a few of us that asked him to pass you the fives , Hope you got them dude ? You really didn't miss much Cheech , it's changed slightly , but most of your every once in a while guys are still around. 821 is pretty much right on what he had to say , you call them as you see and read them.IM a firm believer that what goes around comes around in due time. This Forum isn't a business related site , which in it's own kind of way is a good thing, although there are those whom have gotten good press over the years for what they do , some have taken the time and others have not , such is the way the techie cookie crumbles. I wish I knew a whole hell of a lot more then I do , I would love nothing better then to pass it on to somebody else that might be able to use it. In and out and around this business for so many many years and seeing what I have has been way more then I could ever handle personally.(Not the work , but dealing with people , places and things and the laws that apply) When can you do what techs do to radios and freely come out in the open without having the monkey on your back one way or the other ? weather they do or not ? it's always there. It's called living life on the edge and having to deal with others basically in the same boat , this is when the fight for life becomes your own customers or others that do a job better or worse then you do , it all adds up the same to me anyway I look at it. This is why Blacklist will never sit well for me even though I can understand to a degree where they might help somebody but then again hurt somebody else at the same time.(somebody playing God with a chance of a fringe benifit) Dog eat dog ,two wrongs will never make a right in my book of life. yes ,there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things , but unfortunately for those that live by the rule , the wrong ways work as well , you either get deeper into your hobby and learn the reason why (so you can hopefully and humbly pick and choose for yourself) or you just go about it being content with what you have ,which IM sure millions of others have done over the years.

Yeah I ended up moving from the big city to the country and was very limited on internet acess. Figured out there was a company running wireles internet for the people in my area and thats the way I went. Its nice to be back though and chong passed the fives on so it was nice to hear you guys didn't forget about me :D I do understand that people live change and some may become busy with work and what not and others may just loose interest. There are also alot of new members here as well and its nice to see people come here and help others and ask for help themselves. I am a member of several other forum and have to say this is the one I enjoy the most, with all the people being very helpfull and down to earth. I do miss geting on the chatroom to and shooting the bull with the member here as it seems to have been down as long I have been back. I do hope that some of the techs return though as they provide some of the greatest informetion and I can understand the thing with DTB being busy and have to give him props for it becouse of the way the country and smaller businesses seem to be right now. Good to see the CB thing is still booming!
