thank you. i cleaned house and got rid of almost everything. and just days before that picture was taken there was a kenwood ts-440s sitting in its place.

dont use a battery indoors, there are numerious safety reasons why. i use a 52amp in the basement on my bench when i work on radios, upstairs im using a small 15amp power supply, i dont need much as my 2m radio runs low power (30 watts) most of the time unless its weekend nets, than its 70 watts to reach the repeater.

Well I got one of those Spiral cell things to use. It's an Optima yellow top. I think those are supposed to not off gas or anything. They are a non lead acid sort of thing. And its going in a motorcycle enclosed trailer.... however I have not decided exactly where to place the battery at this point. But somewhere up in the V nose shown here, in its own plastic box, was what I was leaning towords....
