Which CB Shops are still accepting mail-in repairs?

That's your call I guess. The other part to that is if he is having cash flow problems he might sell out (your radio included) and close shop. Or he goes to prison and his shop is liquidated. Now your radio is gone, good luck getting that worked out. No thanks, I would stay clear of that shop.

I can't recall any instances where I boycotted a business because of their and/or my ethics.

Responsible parents don't have naked pictures of their children circulating on the internet.

I thought this was the "CB Shop mail-in thread" not the DTB "beat a dead horse" thread?

Anything is possible but I have also seen and heard about that happening to other CB shops. In fact I lost a radio years ago when a local shop went bankrupt.
 
i'm going to agree. he is innocent until proven guilty. but i would not send him any radios. he could go under if convicted. at that point the government seizes all of it. we will see.
he is out on bail. as far as i know.

And then the guy never fixes or.worse you never get your equipment back with little to show for the experience except a smaller bank account.
Here's the way Mike works. Send him your equipment. He recivers it fixes it and sends it back.
4 to six days from your qth to his and back to yours.
Another thing Mike does that others can't or won't is work on tube equipment.
When I say tube I'm not just talking amplifiers.
He has an incredible collection of ef Johnson equipment that would be the envy of any boat anchor enthusiast and he restored every piece.
He's got an incredible collection of AM radio's. You know the type. Zenith RCA ect ect.
If you need work on anything tube to transistor send it to him and don't worry about getting a second rate job or worse ripped off.
I sometimes post about Mike because it wasn't that long ago I was myself trying to find a Tec to refurbish my equipment with little luck.
Even on this forum I was told finding someone to work on tube stuff was not likely.
Mike was and is not only an excellent Tec but will walk one through a repair over the phone.
He really enjoys what he does and never minds helping. Good luck.

That guy gave me Mike's phone number but I was still hesitant to send him my equipment. After all he was a total stranger but I'm very glad I took the chance.

Innocent until proven guilty?! Really?!!! If someone is arrested on charges of child pornography as far as I'm concerned he's persona non grata. I would never send him anything for repair. Chances are he's a pedophile. If they found that type of material on his computer case closed! If it quacks like a duck and Walks Like A Duck it's usually a duck. I would never help such a scumbag piece of shit low life buy food pay for rent or contribute in any way to such a scumbag. Sending him equipment and paying him for repair jobs is basically supporting a child molester.

I'm not sure if Mike would appreciate his information out there but if you use the information that was offered to you and email him he will have no problem sending you his phone number and you could talk to him. Funny how karma gets people likes him. I called this dude up about a year ago. he told me if I didn't have a college education I didn't have any business messing with a radio. I personally can't stand the guy now.

And who really cares? If you guys must insist on vilifying DTB Radio and "beating a dead horse" then maybe you should start your own thread. You guys just keep littering this informative thread with personal attacks based solely on biased opinions.
If you don't like DTB Radio then please stop the childish whining and send your radio to some of the other qualified radio techs that are listed above.
