And by the time customs looks at their passport they have already traveled on an airplane with other people and stood in line at the baggage carousel and in customs infecting how many more people unknowingly?
So its better to let them into the country to infect even more people?.
I never said that. I was poking holes in your theory about being able to stop Ebola from entering the USA. What if only one or two were from an infected country and were indeed infected with Ebola and traveled via a third party country to the USA? All the others on the plane may not have traveled to an infected country and have proof of it and would thus be admitted while yet they may be carrying it. I was merely showing that you cannot keep it out 100% .
It is one thing to be sent off to fight am enemy that will try and kill you by all means necessary including NBC warfare and be able to respond with equal or superior fire power. It is quite another to be set off to fight an enemy that you cannot attack and can not defend against. That is the definition of a Suicide mission. I for one would refuse and stand for a General Courts martial and let the chips fall where they may, Better to have 3 hots and a cot in Ft Leavenworth than to be led to a slaughter by an incompetent Boob masquerading as the CIC. I am not a coward I have been under fire in far away lands on multiple occasions from Lebanon in 1983 to the sands of Iraq in 1991 and a few places I can't mention. God Speed Men Semper Fi
Well, with that I agree. It can't be kept out 100 percent. Just no reason to make it easier to get in.
IMHO we really need to contain it to Africa as much as possible, and also assist them as much as possible to end the infection there. The ebola virus, for a number of reasons, mutates extremely rapidly. Of course, mutations are irrelevant unless they are passed on to the next person. If not passed on, they just end up incinerated during cremation. The more people infected however, the greater the chance that a mutation is passed on to someone else. Since ebola has only 7 genes, it won't take much to make any potential vaccine worthless. Heck, it could even become airborne in the near future, especially if 10,000 a week start becoming sick as WHO is predicting.
I l already have in fact I was born here.Moving to a town without an airport, train station or bus service would help.
