Why echo?

I think I got my answer.. it has no real value but personal preference. 11 meter ops like it (some don't) and ham ops don't.

Why echo? Because....no radio is complete unless it has echo, roger beep, blue lights and at least 2 noise toys.

Seriously, it's more the less a toy used by the operators to amuse themselves at the expense of pissing off those who happen to have their radio on at the time.

It has been said by some, a touch of echo is ok....and can help you stand out....but too much like 99% of those who run it and you'll hear them say "what did he say?"

I happen to have a turbo echo board in my desk drawer I had in a Uniden 68. I could really drive you insane with it. It would repeat the same transmission over if I set it right.

BTW CB stands for "clown band" or "childrens band". :LOL:
