Im just burned out on ham radio and 1200w arm chair copy talking to rich a holes that are full of themselves .
Yes im a extra, yes i have amplifiers and all that. But its just not as much fun as good ole cb radio.
I mean you dont have to like it or get it. Get your ticket and do whatever makes you happy. I like to mess around when im out in the truck cutting firewood.
Come on..

I just don't know - for me I am very content in having a contact to Thailand for 40 minute's or a nice QSO with a lady in Indonesia for an hour, and only using 100 watts to do it on 11 meters.
For 49 years now, ch 6 has never given me a thrill, oh well, as one would say - que sera sera .............

Well maybe get your general class or higher ham license and you can do all that alot easier on the lower bands. Food for thought.
I need variety in my life. So i get around and check it all out.

It's really not much fun to do it easier, I could of got my license back in '74 if I wanted to.

I set a goal in the beginning - talk to as many countries (dxcc) that I can on 11 meters, using just a mobile radio, and no amplifier. So now, that is what I call making it a challenge.

If i had a dollar for everyone who said they could have gotten their license I would be rich. Why 1974? The opportunity is always there. Infact its easier, however just one test won't get you on hf. Dxcc on 11m lol. That up there with homemade call signs.
Live life, stop making justifications. Dont talk about, be about it. Life is too short and uncertain.

I left 11 meters 30 years ago and watching these videos just reinforces why I left.
Seriously it's not like that everywhere on 11m. I believe the real 11m fun is in freeband country usb/lsb above 27405. Even am below 40 is fun, just pick a channel below 35 besides 28, 11 or 6. Most of the time youre listening to a couple old locals shooting the shit over morning coffee. 38lsb sucks but there are usually good peeps on 27415, 420 and 455 lsb. 27555 is still an international call channel and will qsy to another freq to chat.
Its not all bad. Folks just like to monitor and post the most popular channels.
