It's a bit intimidating at first glance. But keeping with only the power and modulation settings it's fairly easy to navigate. If you switch between AM and SSB like I do, it's easy to coordinate the power settings so that you need not adjust the power out put levels when switching modes. For example: I have mine set to an 8 watt dead key on AM, and then when I flip to SSB I use the amp and it drives at 35 to 45 pep without readjusting the RF power knob.That's where all the trimpots and trimmer caps/coils went.
