DX-949 or 959 10m mod?

The 959 isn't exactly 'the radio of choice' for a Ham to do a 10m mod to, since this radio seems to be a bit sub-par as far as freq stability is concerned.

In fact, some Hams have taken a few of the venerable Cobra 148GTL 'old school' model and have turned them into 10m rigs for CW or 10m beacon units. Some have even altered the PLL circuitry to the point where they can get the 20m/14mhz for CW use.
