Well no one has "Chimmed" in for my little "Midland" so i have to jump up on the Box...
Midland 79-290...would be the 10 meter radio i use the most,,,in the mobile...it has been trouble free for the past 6 years. 40W SSB,,,30W AM.LCD display w/ frequency...I mostly do SSB,,,and have made every contact i have tried for....Get alot of peeps wanting to know,"What model of Kenwood am i talking on"...lol
Just a great little radio...Best $150 bucks i ever spent on a radio (New at the time).
Most of those "Big Truck" drivers,,,dont accept that its a Dual Final Midland that they've been hearing..Tell me i'm on a big radio,,,and i'm lying to'em....
Just prof that ya dont have to spend $300 bucks for a big Galaxy SSB radio....
