FCC should just open up 11meters as a Citizens experimental band.

How about married people?

That's an extreme comparison imo.
M67/68 fragmentation grenade vs 3200V @ 3A ?
You're just as dead either way.

You already know about laptop and phone batteries exploding or catching fire. Ever seen what happens to a high current switching supply when over current protection fails ?

How about the Harbor Fright battery charger on the automotive lead acid battery and the Texas star wtfever go boom scenario.

Just the word " should" is fraught with unimaginable and unintended consequences . Now apply that to the Federal Clown Commission with it's non existent enforcement budget and you have a recipe for dangerous as well as annoying interference.

In human terms then :
It's all fun and games until someone looses a testicle
you'll put your eye out
There's a reason why 10 year olds don't have drivers licenses
fool for a client , dead man for a patient
blind leading the blind
hold my beer , watch this
prophylactics/birth control/diapers "accidents happen"
never underestimate the power of human ignorance. this includes you own .
Ignorance can be lethal, Ignorance in large groups is genocide.
Darwin was right. If you need a refresher course see rotten.com
The belief that you can pick up a 220V line by the cold end usually results in a memorable lesson if not a memorial.

So on one hand "let the games begin"
On the other hand " remove the warning labels and let Darwin sort it out"
On the gripping hand, there is no substitute for education and experience.

Just, no. 11m is already the breeding ground for mass experimentation without the benefit of education, experience, enforcement, or license. Let it be.

On the other hand "remove the warning labels and let Darwin sort it out."

:ROFLMAO:
That's a mantra too good to waste on such a small, select group. Rather, it would make a great 28th Constitutional Amendment, encompassing us all.

How about legalized marijuana use only and only while operating a CB or amateur radio transceiver? I jest of course. There's enough stoners with a bong in one hand and a microphone in the other already. LOL!! No need to legalize. It's already legal as far as those operators are concerned.

...but wait there's more ! Step right up ! With every purchase of an ounce or more you get a free CB radio and magnet mount antenna! Order now and the echo mic is included!

Weather these are Cuban, Russian, or Al-Qaeda communique's, I don't know... Am I experiencing an conspiracy theorist moment? 73's

Personally, I think it is those space aliens Stephen Hawking kept warning us about. Maybe we can build a wall and keep their signals out.

You guys are on the same frequency. No 110 will keep CB in the U.S.A. safer for all, right?

I had not considered this possibility....unless some of those old East German women athletes are now living in the U.S. and operating on 11 meters.

If they open 11meter up it would be nice if they could add another 20 channels after 40. so everyone would not be stepping on everyone else.

snip~ everyone else.

Who might that be ? 11m Here is dead as Canasta. The only reason operators are stepping on anyone is because they can, and will.

Open up ? I don't think you have the remotest clue what you are proposing.
What you ARE proposing is that

CHRYSLER CORPORATION
Ericsson
L3 Technologies
Lockheed Martin Corporation
Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation
ROCKWELL COLLINS, INC
Saab Defense and Security
SOUTHWEST RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Ticom Geomatics, Inc.
Ubiquiti Networks, Inc.
Licensee: 4 X 4 Rescue Council, Inc
AIR WAVE COMMUNICATIONS INC
AIR WAVE SPECTRUM SERVICES LLC
American National Red Cross
AVALON DEVELOPMENT CORP.
BearCom Operating LP
Cisco Systems Inc
CITGO PETROLEUM CORPORATION

Plus approximately 65 other licensees either now have to give up their allocations or share them with CFR 47 ~ Part 95 class D 11m operators.
or ...
You have get the existing 11m operators to acknowledge that they are the secondary user of those frequencies. That alone gave me the hysterical laugh for the day I needed.

Some of these frequencies are digital telemetry. Most are AM/FM and only occasionally SSB. The personal rather than corporate frequencies in use are usually auxiliary control or back-up or back haul from communication sites. If you go much further up you get blasted by OTH Radar. At 28Mhz you begin amateur 10m .

You do happen to remember that 11m was an amateur allocation ?
Can you imagine what the response from the amateur community would be if an allocation, once theirs, was given away to the Citizens Band Service, (no matter that it happened in 1956, amateur radio has a very long memory) that the required license for operation was deemed no longer necessary (save for the de facto clause) and then on top of everything else was expanded another 200Khz ??

If you don't think that the amateur community would scream bloody murder for loss of their buffer between the unwashed masses of 11m and their 10m amateur allocation then how about the lobbying dollars of Chrysler or Citgo Petroleum ?

And what of the existing "freebanders" between 27.410 and 27.610? Do you think they are going to play by the rules?

Then what do rules matter anyway? Ever listen to 7.200? 3.840? 14.313?
Are you under the impression (false) that the FCC has an enforcement budget ?
Can you see the DOJ authorizing and allocating funds for the prosecution of a public assistance recipient who's defense would be provided by the state, based on FCC determination that they had broken the rules? Now multiply that by what ever number you choose . It takes hundreds of thousands of dollars and decades to remove an amateur operator. Now add the 11m operators.

Now add it up. If there aren't six zeros behind it you flunked math, repeatedly.

Just no , not going to happen , EVER.
