I'd like to go to a hamfeast.
I have noticed that in the last few years a lot of CB radios are showing up at hamfeast.
More and more CB radios turning up at hamfeast.
I have noticed that in the last few years a lot of CB radios are showing up at hamfeast. The people selling them are not hams for the most part, they are guanine CB'ers. There is nothing that says they cant sell there stuff. But it does bother me to some extent....
It just seems degrading to see CB radios at hamfests. It was OK to see one or two at the most. But to see 8 to 10 on a single table and then see five or six tables with that many cb's makes me sad. I remember a lot of CB'ers from the 70's. A lot of them were trashy people. The ones who wanted more out of radio became hams.
What about the Ham's that sell both?It just seems degrading to see CB radios at hamfests. It was OK to see one or two at the most. Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned |
