This. Although there is a lot of hype that the hobby is growing and CB is making a comeback, you know and I know that is a steaming pile of bull excrement. There are way less operators than there were even 10 or 15 years ago.

Yeah, Jeff. 44 and I had a nice long QSO. The band was really hopping on my end today and I had a lot of contacts. It's tough hearing long distance stations like yours because I'm bombarded with stations from the southeast corner. Let me know when you're gonna be on the air (if you can), and we can go to 35 which usually isn't busy. Love to talk to you again. And - - it's true, " Happy wife, happy life."
It's a work day here but I may be able to sneak away and try the radio this afternoon if I'm lucky !
That's very unfortunate. It seems the older I get the more friends and acquaintances pass. It is the cycle, but I don't like it.
