11 meter is very quiet?

I just called out a couple times on 35 USB to see if anyone was out there, absolutely quiet on my end, I'm currently on 37 LSB monitoring, however I'll check in at the top of every hour on 35 USB for the WWDX Net,seems to be a bit of Qrm on the band, anyone else experiencing that at the moment???????

BC Coyote,I'm guessing that explains the QRM on the band today maybe??
Yes, it is probably related. Around here the auroras can really get the power lines sputtering and arcing and making a ton of noise. I noticed yesterday that the background hiss seemed a little louder than normal as well, which is also probably from a flare or CME from the sun.

Well no contacts today due to a lot of Static and qrm up my way, tried calling on 35 USB and 37 LSB to no avail, hopefully next weekend will be better, hope everyone has a great week ahead!!

I turned on the radio this morning and it didn't sound too promising but I let her run. And seeing Spring has Sprung in N/E PA with the mud under control (For Now) my itchy feet had to spring into action with outdoor clean up. I hope the radio action isn't a sign of seasonal die back like last year !

Dx was weak into S.A. today, but I managed to make a few contacts along the gulf coast. Tried the upper channels, and had nice long QSOs with stations in LA, Texas, Idaho, Iowa, Oregon, and New Mexico. Very little QRM here today. Only problem was a station on 27.440 was bleeding over really bad. My 139XLR has beefed up adjacent channel rejection, so he didn't really bother me, but other stations were complaining about him. Called CQ-WDx on 35 upper, but NADA. Maybe one day I will actually make a WDX contact on 35USB. LOL. 73 everyone.

Good point,if I remember correctly,it died down a bit during the summer and picked back up in the Fall!!

Hey give us a report on your Q6Pro. How's that experiment going. I haven't updated my firmware yet. That's a rainy day project.
