Well the 257 is trashed...I got it back and was told it will cost more than it's worth. I bought the 959 with the Viagra board and diode swap along with a new ec2018 extreme Mic wired for it for $175. He offered it at $150 if he got to keep the 257 for parts but I just couldn't let it go.

I'm capable of around 550-575 but usually use just the radio (Magnum 257hp @ mid power 25-30 watts)

Fixed. Tech found a cracked solder joint and replaced the whole pot to be safe. Working fine. Cost $15.
