H2, I run NetStumbler on my work PC/laptop and iStumbler on my Macbook pro. It is free and gives a a lot of info about what is in the air with regard to access points; dB of signal strength, frequency, S/N, channels, SSIDs, etc. You may find something that may be useful to you. .
