Thanks. I was looking at buying one but I don't remember the size of the existing mast at the top of the tree.
I think the mast would be too large for the AR-10.
The tree is within the 150 ft of the zone of protection
The gear is using the house ground rod, and the coax feed will be grounded at the entry point to the house and connected to the house ground.
The antenna is grounded with it's own ground rod at the base of the tree.

Placing a antenna on a mast in the backyard is a no go, the tree it is, for me.
I don't climb trees. lol. I'll leave that to someone else that I'll pay. Just want it to be as simple for that person climbing as possible. That's why something like a imax 2000 or possibly the A99 with no ground plain radials would be easiest to hoist up the tree. I guess a fiberglass antenna...
