I want one and plan to get one soon. But one thing I read was you have to buy the relocation kit separate and it's $$$ whereas the Yaesu includes them with the radio. :glare:

Good to hear you were able to hold a conversation on low power. I have a 100 watt rig that doesn't seem to get out on 38 LSB....but it might be due to the antenna.

For what you are wanting to do, the Magnum 257 will be your best bet....since it does 10 and 11 meter, is stable on SSB, good audio on AM and doesn't have the kiddie trucker toys aka echo and roger beep.
The rest of the radios you mentioned won't fulfill your desire.
So I guess these are "intended" for scientists or doctors only.....but you can buy them off of a CB amp website...lol!
