11 meter is very quiet?

Was able to chat with 702 Jamaica today and a few hours later got ontario canada 235.
Pretty exciting for a newby at skip!
And a handful of distant states.
I often wonder if those i make contact with are members here on wwdx

I have talked to a few distant members. If we had an easy way to coordinate who is on what channel and when, that would be great.

Years ago we used to do DX contests here, and now that the FCC has dropped the 155 mile rule, there is no longer any reason to not work propagation on the CB band.

CDX 339, near Yosemite Nat Park.
If the band is open, I check 36 and 38 lsb.
I will also check 27.085 as that is a popular channel in Hawaii.

Fairly good SSB DX day here. Tried 16 LSB several times....quietest place on the radio...nothing.

I called out as “WDX-556 North Carolina”.

No contact with forum members that I’m aware of.

QSO’s worthy of logging in:

Texas-9
Ontario-2
New Jersey-2
Oklahoma-2
Massachusetts-1
New York-2
Connecticut-1
Pennsylvania-1
Maine-1

Heck yeah, that's great! Unfortunately the wind and rain stayed away so yard work was priority for me this evening.... No DX for me but glad it went well for some of you. It's like a good fishing story, but not a made up one haha

Good DX today. 11 states plus Ontario.

Best QSO was with forum member 357 Magnum Leo in Rhode Island. .365 LSB for at least 20-30 minutes.

Leo is the guy that really encouraged me to get back on radio after me being off the air 30+ years. I owe a lot to Leo. Never met him but consider him my brother.

SloMover call Leo and I the “357 Twins”. LOL

For sure the Longest DX contact last night I've had with a forum member ( Maybe the longest period on Dx ) with my Big Brother Ralph ( S&W357) ! (y):) Funny thing is I went downstairs to let the dog out , went in the shack to see if any locals were on , I heard Dx on Am , so I headed to SSB . Then I here NC in there . Hmmm , let me Give Ralph a shot , our phone rings , wife say's your brother Ralph is on the phone . Ralph said I've been chatting w/ RI , get on the radio . I called out his #'s & WOW ! The loudest I ever heard him ! He has one nice sounding At-6666 !(y) We've chatted before on Am & SSB but it was always spotty . Last night it was like he was in my Driveway . We all know sometimes we get lucky & this happens , Direct line to NC .:) We probably could have chatted longer but then other Op's started calling him & myself . No matter how we tried just got too busy . Next time Ralph will go to the " 0000 " I should have thought of that last night . Regardless Totally Awesome ! Stay Healthy & Safe ! 73 & God Bless ! Leo
