11 meter is very quiet?

If you like to chase DX SSB is the mode to use, with your Technician license you have space to play on 10 meters and it is just off the hook with propagation right now.

10m has been open most mornings in the US to Europe, Asia, Africa for several months now. Spoke with South Africa this morning like he was in the next town. With a good antenna and 100w (or less) you can work the world.

Made my first ever contact into South Korea couple weeks ago on a homemade dipole and 100 watts.
This is a good time to chase rare DX on the higher bands.

I heard DX rolling early in the day when I had stuff to do, but when the work was done and I had time to play it dried up. Tomorrows another day !
I hear you,I made contact with a station out of London, England early this morning, other than that, conditions weren't hopping like they usually do up here,so I took Dad out to lunch and then took a Nap in the afternoon on my day off!!

I got bless with that White Stuff like you, so spent a good part of the morning dealing with that but had the radio running so I could hear it when ever I came in. And after it was clean up the paper work om my desk and balance check books. By the time I got ready to play it started Waning. PS. Nice picture you took !

We re-install my PC-122 in the Expedition today and tried my troublesome speaker and determined it wasn't the fault of the Galaxy DX 979. It must be the male plug on the end of the speaker. But after much trying I made a Louisiana contact with my PC-122 on 37 LSB so I guess my Golden Screw Driver work on the PC-122 was a success. And I did get a radio check on 19 AM also with no complaints. But the radio was a Bee Hive today. LOL

Planning on being on the air on 37 LSB off and on throughout the day, conditions at the moment are pretty good up here in Central PA!!
Made some contacts mostly in Texas today, trying to rest my mouth as I deal with a broken tooth filling while waiting to get into the dentist hopefully this week,Not a fun thing to have happen, Conditions as of now are starting to quiet down up here in Central PA, hope everyone has a great week ahead!!

So I have a cobra 138xlr and the meter dose not work... It dose not key up and signal dose not work.... It is not stuck it the meter moves freely. now wires are resoldered on both ends...So now that do I look at. Could it be a diode or a transistor?
