Made my first ever Southern California contact this morning on My GE Super Base out near Palm Springs. He wasn't loud but understandable until some clown seem to try to cover him up. But it was a first for reaching out that far and a definite.

Good Morning WDX Brothers, planning on being on the air after 10am on 37 LSB throughout the day here and there after my appointment with the Dentist ( really looking forward to that, LoL ) hope everyone has a great day ahead and maybe if conditions cooperate we can make contact with some WDX members out there..........

Good luck at the dentist. LOL I use to hate those visits with a passion. I didn't see my neighbor head for work today so I might only be mobile today, but I got both my mobiles back in their vehicle and working well and the sky s looking clear for a few days so hope to try them out. Hopefully I can catch some of you on the air. I took today off to take care of some things so I'll jump on the band when I can.
I've noticed the last couple of evenings have had absolutely nothing to work with as far as propagation so hopeful that'll be better here too.

Thank you Whiteastro , I just got back from the dentist appointment and apparently I fractured the tooth,so they took X-rays and the main dentist has to look at them, depending on how deep the fracture is,I will either have to get a crown put on($1500.00) or have it pulled ( worse case scenario) so now I await a phone call next week to schedule another appointment since nothing could be done today,etc oh well,things happen and ya still got to be thankful that things aren't worse in your life, about to have a late breakfast and then fire up the Ranger............
i got vice grips,chisels hammers etc can remove it quick n easyso you can get more air time in. good luck friend

DX was really banging in today so I couldn't make a contact. Was up in the hills and heard it coming in from every where. Just repaired my Stryker SR-10 antenna and have it set up in my kitchen window facing down thru the valley testing it and just turned on my GE Super Base to listen and some repeater Clown is polluting 37 LSB. It's bad enough they do 38 LSB but now they won't let you get away on 37. It never stops amazing me how many people Never Grow Up

Didn't play radio too long today, just long enough to let the magic smoke out of my rm italy 203. I was trying out an old superstar 3900 a friend gave me with it. I pushed the poor little 203 too far this time.
I have had the 203 for probably 6 years or better and have made hundreds of contacts with it. Not bad for a $65 amp.
Hope to have a little radio time tomorrow.
EDIT, Looking back, I had the 203 for at least 8 years.

Unfortunately That Amp is $95 bucks at Cooper Electronics now and the KL-203 P is $105 now. Maybe we should buy a spare before new Tariffs go in effect.
Yeah I was already checking them out at Copper Electronics and from Scott's radios. Probably will pick another one up. I have other amps but I really like the 203 especially for mobile use with my old Uniden Grant or 980.
I went ahead and bought two, just in case..

Yeah that is a good price ! I don't blame you for grabbing them. I would but I have a KL-300 P setting around not being used so I better control myself because I spent too much on radios and gear the last couple years. I'd love to get one of those Anytone AT6666 Pro but I'm Wrestling with myself and telling myself to exploit what I have. Too many things need time in my Wallet. LOLI went ahead and bought two, just in case..
