11 meter is very quiet?

here last few times id get on i hear distant garbled voices like we had way back at the start of this cycle . it was lsb and on am just grinding buzz plus the usual channel 6 15 bazilloin watts to talk across atlanta burning up the whole band. but thats radiong just like fishing. some days they bite, some days we talk. some days no bites, some days no contacs

So many members are saying that the band is dead. I've heard literally hundreds of US stations the past few days. Quieter in the late mornings/early afternoons, but rocking in the mid/late afternoons. Maybe you guys need to light a candle and make an offering to Mother Nature.

Yeah it seems the mid latitude isn't getting a lot of love so enjoy your lower latitude kindness from mother nature. We'll eventually get some attention again, I hope.....

Yes conditions seem good far to the south and far to the east of me, but out here on the west coast it is very very dead and has been for several days now........

It has been going long in the evening here, so crummy conditions during the day and then as the sun goes down I hear Hawaii, pacific stations, the Philippines was in here late last night.
I don't get up early enough to work morning greyline anymore, but I used to set the alarm for 2:30 am during DX contests.
Greyline would be up for the guys on the east coast and I made lots of contracts from those states very early in the morning.

Tunderstorms from morning 'til late afternoon. So no radio today. Hope weather clears tomorrow. No rain forecast. Crossing my fingers. LOL

That's why I'm trying to take advantage of ,the spring rain, so doing landscaping and lawn seeding so hopefully I don't have to water as much. Plus fighting those little wren birds destroying your work building their nest.

The sun finally co-operated again today and I had pretty decent conditions out into the Pacific starting around midday and still going on right now. Heard tons of Australia and New Zealand stations talking to Oregon and California while I was working out in the shop this afternoon.

After a few days of nothing but static and a few faint voices I was starting to get worried !

I've been checking conditions every now and then today. It's been very quiet for the most part. I did hear 881 on the west coast of Canada suddenly booming in, and had a brief qso around 1:45. Then it went quiet again. I hope this was a good sign... ?

Edit: Well, it appears this wasn't a good sign. :ROFLMAO:
I'll keep checking throughout the next few days.
