Truth is the massive amount of 10 meter rigs sold and modified is the reason new Ham rigs are even on the market(few at that), the 10 meter rigs are the candy to the radio company's, without that they cant do R&D to make the new stuff, they sure aint making any money of the Hams that are using 25 year old equipment,lol.

Do you really believe that? Can you give me some links to these 10m rigs that Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, Elecraft, Alinco, Anan and Flexradio are producing?

Here's my current radio. Can you tell me what eye candy 10m rigs with panadapters, waterfalls and touchscreens Icom are selling to pay for the R&D for that?

Get licensed for that? What a waste!

Others have said it before: a station is only as good as its operator. That's true on CB, VHF, 2 meter or whatever band you fancy.

Just my opinion.

You are right. The operators make or break any band. You don't have to like everything you hear. There are people that can't seem to get over themselves and enjoy the hobby. They will sit there and listening to operators that annoy them and then decide (ham or cb) radio is full of these awful people.

The piss and moan net isn't for everyone, but I posted it because it doesn't fit the stereotype that goes along with nets. Typical nets are for people that want to play radio and have poor conversation skills. If you want to you let a couple of not so good experiences keep you limited to 11m that's ok.
