So per advisement from loosecannon via IM, I had 6' of new coax laying about and his idea was for about 9' of coax just below the A99 then the RF choke to possibly help cut noise down abit and to give the A99 some counterpoise before the choke.. I originally had a 12" jumper than the choke.
So I put the 6' piece up. Time will tell if it helps but my noise floor seems lower and a contact 30+ miles away sounds better and above my noise floor which he was in before.. SWR may have gotten flatter as well as it seems to be 1:1-1 across on 1 and flat on 40..
