Mine is “November Charlie” for North Carolina
Sounds like your new number could be "2NC357"?There actually is a November Charlie SSB Club in NC. The founder's name is Butch (November Charlie #1) . He ives 40+ miles North of me In Elkin NC. Over 3,000 members...mostly dead and gone by now I imagine.
Butch still has the roster of members. I have no idea what my NC number really is...long forgotten and I'm not going to ask him to dig through the info. I just talk to him once in a while on the radio as NC357...but that ain't my number.

I can’t find anything on the November Charlie club, but I went and looked at the clusters online, and over the past two years there has been a total of two stations logged using a “2NC” prefix. I’m not sure that’s enough to concern me...but I suppose it does mean there could be one out there, or folks still using their old callsigns.
I wouldn’t be the kind of guy to tread on a club, so I would certainly change if it ever became an issue...but so far doesn’t seem to be.
