If it's just for the sake of doing so then I say go for it. I do plenty of experiments in hobbies just for the fun of it.
But for practical purposes, when I reach the point I need more than a fan for cooling....I'll just buy a bigger amp.
I say it all the time on here, but I run my DX500 with just 12-14 watts of drive. She's purring like a kitten with Chinese transistors, stays nice and cool, and makes all the power I need. I've put up to 30 into it just testing, and while it does make a bit more power it is also very diminishing returns.
I also run about 12 watts into a DX350 with Toshibas and with the fan it stays cool also.
Either amp, even at those levels, will warm up right quickly without the fan.
