11 meter is very quiet?

Yesterday the commute home gave the privilege of working several stations in Jamaica. The commute home today I had the pleasure of a nice clear and lengthy qso with 369 in the Big Island of Hawaii. Shortly after qso's with 104, 145 and 702 Jamaica and let me tell you that 702 had some fantastic audio.

Didn't get a chance to get on the air today. I had to drive to the Med to pick up my new amp and the final pieces for my SDR setup. Can't wait to try both of them.

lots o lightning last nite. unhooked n unplugged
385 is a big mess, as usual, but I've been making a lot of quality qsos this morning on 375 and 395. Bahamas to Oregon, Cali, and up to Massachusetts.

Still have the 86v with the RFX95 for now. Soon to be 6666Pro if I ever get around to it.
just made a 140 mile ground wave contact with 402 Bo north of Alice TX on 395 with my POS Imax 2000 and barefoot Q5N2. Bo was doing most of the heavy lifting running 13KW through a Colossal 10K. Not too shabby for two GP's.
WOW !!! 13KW !!! Us guys with our little peanut whistle stations don't stand a chance anymore.

It's 9:30 AM EST. Gonna hit the shack and check the DX Propagation. If it's good I will be on the air until it dies out. Then gonna tear the statiion down and install the SDR setup in the 139XLR. Hope it works OK.

While traveling in the hills with my mobile and my DX979 and K40 I heard South America come bombing in so my ears perked up and listened more. Then the operator mentioned running a Cobra 139 and sooner or later I hear 399 JJ so you were Kickin Butt here in N/E PA. Unfortunately for me I was running Barefoot but I did try to shout hoping for a miracle. But you were sounding good along with Northern Ireland and many others. The leaves are starting to change & drop and it appears as if DX is starting but it will be a while before the hills are skeletonize.
I heard you too, JJ. You were booming into west Texas and doing all the good this morning. I called a few times, but like others, I just couldn't make the trip....
Weather has kept me off the radio most of the day.

@unit_399 I heard you in there today JJ, but you couldn't hear me. I was able to make contact with Arizona and Texas, but conditions kept dropping out. Heard operators from 40 all the way down to 34, at one time or another so it looks like conditions are improving.

I talked to a station in Delaware this morning. Dx was running good today. We will see what the evening brings.
