11 meter is very quiet?

I got on for about an hour but didn't even try. My receive was full of "Christmas CBers" out of Florida calling CQ-Dx over and over and over again. 81 Orlando and "DX DONKEY" in particular. Never unkeyed long enough to let anyone come back to them.

Yeah, it's that time of the year when the reload bench gets as much use as the radio bench. I have both benches in the same room on opposite walls, so while the locals are heavy on the radio, I can reload while keeping an ear on the goings on. Glad to know there are other reloaders on here.

Yeah all my reloading stuff sets in the room all nicely boxed up and think about it every time I buy some of the high priced ammo. Just yesterday while in the gun safe I found a half box of 10mm ammo I loaded and no longer have my S&W 1076. Those were the Good Old Days !

Oh wow, my first hand-nug was a s&w 10mm, police issue i think, or that's what I was told, from a time when they were figuring out that maybe 40 cal was the way to go, but that was long before I knew about reloading. I shot all the 10mm I could get my hands on and when it dried up, I said good bye. I could kick myself now. I didn't even know to save the brass.

My 10mm was called the FBI gun so they said. Now I have a Glock 23 which is 40 S&W.

Well, if you lived over here on the East Coast in the New York suburban area, you can hear a whole bunch of European people, and Texas and Oklahoma anytime I turn the radio on at certain times of the day. They’re always there. Sorry that you’re in an area, it’s kind of dead. I can understand that I guess.

Life has been happening for me so radio or the hobby in general have been on the sidelines, until today that is.

Finally kicked on the station now using the 7300v turbo and have worked stations throughout the country this morning and then.........

Then one I haven't heard in a while.....

Well I'm close to you in the Scranton PA area and hearing about the same thing but I do live in a narrow valley so it does hinder me somewhat at getting out. But I do the best I can for a Poor Boy and just let it go at that. Happy DXing !

Me too! I enjoyed reloading. 9mm. Everything has been put away for years and think about it from time to time. Difficult conditions to be in for this hobby in Canada.
