11 meter is very quiet?

Oh wow, my first hand-nug was a s&w 10mm, police issue i think, or that's what I was told, from a time when they were figuring out that maybe 40 cal was the way to go
It was my understanding that the FBI figured the10mm was too hot for their agents to handle in a urban environment for several reasons. That's why the 40 S&W was developed as the 10mm short. But being a country boy I wanted the power of 10mm for Bear medicine.

Really hot conditions up here on the west coast of Canada today! Made contacts on pretty much every frequency I tried. 36 and 37 LSB, up above 40, 26.915AM, 26.805FM.....
Band-scanned all the way from 27.405 up to the bottom of the10 meter band and there was a station pretty much every 5KHz all the way up, often with both LSB and USB stations on the same channels. English, Spanish, and Portugese speaking stations galore.

He's on 10m 28.455 working split right now. Unfortunately I can't hear him.

Ok good deal. He has not updated his logs for today yet, so hopefully I will be in his log the next update. Down below is his link from DX Adventure radio club.

Had to make a quick trip to the Valley of the Sunstroke, so I got to play radio for a bit. Contacted either 23 or 323, not sure which it was, in British Columbia on the way down and 428 in Minneapolis/St. Paul on the way back. The 428 contact was memorable because it was on 16 LSB, at about 2 PM MST. We were both mobile as well.

That was me, number 23! I tried my best to pull you out of the noise, but just couldn't quite copy well enough for a QSO. Hope we have better luck tomorrow on 35USB!
Nice to make contact with you! It was pretty crappy on my end, lots of noise and fading. But now that I know for sure, I'll try again next time I'm out.

Yeah, it's that time of the year when the reload bench gets as much use as the radio bench. I have both benches in the same room on opposite walls, so while the locals are heavy on the radio, I can reload while keeping an ear on the goings on. Glad to know there are other reloaders on here.

I'm monitoring but doing finish up molding work to my remodeled Dining room. I have to get cracking because April will be here before you know it. And remodeling isn't my desire so it doesn't take much to find a excuse ! LOL
I am that way with molding too, but the feeling I get when it's all done and I just stand there and look at it, make it worth it in the end.

LOL It would be one thing if I was building a new place that I wanted & liked. But it's harder when you don't like ( Hate ) this old starter house I got stuck with because of divorce. All I can say is it's warm, dry, and paid for twice and I live in peace. LOL
