Who to tune or not to tune my new Galaxy radio?

I second the recommendation for Richard at SS8541 electronics. Top notch, all the way. I wouldn't hesitate to use Justin at CE.

I would definitely stay away from One Stop, or Rolling Radios. Those guys don't have any real test equipment, let alone a clue as to how they would use it if they did. Chop, chop, snip, snip, twist, twist is all they do.

beware make sure richard at 8541 tunes it and not one of the other yahoo's that also work there..10-4 but they do have the right eqpt. and Justin definitely qualifies.
 
This is truly what one can expect on a question like this on a radio Forum ...Where should I have my radio tuned and why ? (-: .....next thing you know it's Business 101 all over again !! ....and folks simply downing others for what they do according to whom ? just can't steer away from downing folks ...Hmmm ......I could care less about who clips /spits and bull$hits .....these same folks have been in this illegal business of tuning radios for many many years ...you listen to channel 6 lately .....Hell !! you don't even have to be on channel 6 to hear them !! SO DAMNED WHAT !!! I learned a long time ago when cb radio operators are concerned ....You can tell them the truth and chances are they will not believe you anyway. You know how most cb'ers get there radios tuned ? ....9 times out of 10 they hear somebody else out there sounding however they sound like and then they would like to sound like that !!! (Hey dude ?? man you sound totally awesome man !! where did you get your radio tuned at ?) .....there's a very good chance that everything in that dudes radio was clipped or everything else according to the right ways was done the wrong way ....so the guy takes his radio there ,gets it back and he or she becomes happy go lucky cb radio operators (-: ......it's like a cancer in other techs eye's even though those radio operators are happy with what they got and you will hear the everyday praises of that perticular tech hack from them ......SO DAMNED WHAT !!! Do what you do and be proud of it and why .....Don't down others for what they do ....What goes around comes around. Your all breaking the damned laws to begin with.......reminds me of drug dealers .....my stash is much better dope then his dope. If your happy with a NPC mod or a cap and resistor mod ....So be it !! .......if the limiter is clipped and your personally happy with it .......So be it !! If you can truly understand the right ways from the wrong ways of tuning this stuff up for the best all around performance ....So be it !!! ..it's still pretty much going to cost you the same.......and yes !! there are many radio operators that make up there own rules and what makes them happy weather or not it's the right ways or the wrong ways according to whom .....So damned what !!!! .....If you want your radio done the right way and why .....I could highly recomend DTB Radio ......(I believe he's CB Tech from 1 Stop) .....I may not care for his black lists or white lists or his opinions on others but I can surely appreciate his know how on how all this stuff can work the right ways rather then the wrong ways. He has personally helped me to have a better understanding on how some of this stuff can work and I've always appreciated that ....IM just personally not into slander of others....and 9 times out of 10 ...those being slandered by others have 100s of happy customers as well.......Somethings never change in this business ......it's the same old $hit ,different day syndrome. Business 101 baby !! .....can be pretty Goddamned nasty from time to time ......and that's the part that doesn't impress me much )-: I'd like to think that just maybe ...just maybe ? ...that some of you guys out there might be doing much better business for yourselves if you could somehow find it in your schedules to humble thy selves a little bit. Frank and Karl at 1 Stop Electronics posted hardcore gay porn on my website in May-June of 2003. This is a fact. I am not sure if Karl is working with Frank anymore or doing X- Force.

Pacetronics is another place to stay away from. He hacked into my site in 2003 also.

I realize I will get some heat from this but the truth will set you free.

The reason for these problems with these folks is that I borrowed uncopywritten pictures(these were their words) from their sites. My designer stated that this was done all the time. Even if one says I am to blame for taking bandwith from them unknowingly, is that any reason to hack into my site? Why didn't they contact me first instead? I of course took down the pictures and apologized.

On a more positive note I also borrowed a few pictures from Tyler Pyltz at Premiere Electronics and he contacted me, explained to me what was happening and asked if I would not use his bandwith or copy to my host. I did this and all is well. In my opinion Tyler has much more character than many out there.

I have e mailed DTB Radio in the past and gotten good well thought out answers to my questions.

I have some friends that purchased a few items frm GI Joes CB. No problems at all either!

These people care. They don't want to see you get ...! Talk about character!

It's all good with me DTB ....as I said ,I've truly appreciated your help in the past , and I know that I have gratefully thanked you for it everytime. As far as 1 Stop goes ,there's no need to tell me that your not a member of there organization ,it really wouldn't matter to me either way. I may not agree with how you may or may not feel towards others but that does not take away from your knowledge of radios and amplifiers ,IM just not into slander of others ,it just personally turns me off .I honestly try to be as fair as I can be to all's concerns ,but like everybody else ,I too am intitled to my opinion,I just call it the way I have seen it and experianced it over the last 20 years. You could be the best damned radio man on the planet , but as soon as I catch a $hitty my way or the highway business 101 type attitude ,were done before we may or may not have ever even gotten started ? I hope you can understand what IM trying to say here. It seems as if I have the built in ability to offend others from time to time ? , it really isn't me ,it's the way they precive it ......rather then ask what I mean ? they just go off all bent out of shape about it or leave there negative 2 cents worth of vendom......that's on them as well. Your slighty different then others out there DTB .....You will and have taken the time on these forums to spell it out in detail to guys how to fix things .....you helped me out once on how to get the freq's right on a old Realistic base station I was having trouble with.....so you have other things to say about others who are in this business for a living ......that's your business weather or not I find it appealing or not ,even though I do understand your points of view and why the way you feel the way that you do about those matters.....bottom line here is ....you have helped me as well as countless others and it wasn't by one liners or give me a call or send it to me type crap ....you took the time to freely spell it out for folks who were asking how they could do it and I never saw your hand out once . Thank You
 
Its all personnel preferance and how you have been treated. I have talked to a few people that puchased from 1 stop and were satisfied. Now when you talk about gay porn, I think it was wrong to do that IF its true.

DTB, if you dont mind me asking why did you leave 1 stop? Is the radio business that good for techs?

They were supposed to do a peak + tune but it sure didn't seem like the case had been opened up had been and when I sent it back it took 2 1/2 weeks to get it back and then kept getting ignored when you ask about it. Very POOR Customer Service. Like I said this is my Opinion I will never deal with THEM again!!!

Your radio was off freq from the factory, they don't tune
the radios. Just mod them.

as far as I know Sherlock .....CB Tech is still a member over there and they should be more then glad to have him over there . CBShack ? ...this is not about everyday Forum nonsence dude ......it happens all the time. Those dudes over at 1 Stop can run there Forum any way they damned well please weather some like it or not !! It seemed to me that they had plenty of happy customers as well. I personally thought that was a very good Forum for information along with some decent type folks ! I got a lot of help over there. I, like many others got 86ed .....which is still besides the point. I've seen it over and over again ,somebody feels they got wrongly 86ed over there and the next thing you know .....there no good bastardos on other Forums !! Alls anybody can really do for there paid for Forums is to pick and choose people to do there moderating .....it's just not a perfect world when it comes to picking and choosing sometimes. I truly understand how guys feel .....I was one of them but there was no need for bad mouthing on my part. Mans got to do what mans got to do. Oh it's tempting as all hell though !! ....I was just stating my opinion for the umptenth time on how I felt about this post ...I never intended to offend anyone ....not even you Justin.
