11 meter is very quiet?

Was playing with my Lincoln II+ this morning and was surprised to hear some short range skip rolling in for a while. Was able to make a couple contacts with decent reports. I'm still trying to find more info on the Engineering or Service Menu or both to see if there is adjustments. All that info seems to be hidden pretty well but maybe so I don't get Dangerous. LOL

Yesterday most of the day was dead.
Then in the evening around 8 pm suddenly short skip popped up on 38.
I talked to about a dozen stations in So Cal, Ventura county, then a station over by LAX, followed by Bill on the beach who was in there for about 15 min.
After that the signals dropped and every one faded away as fast as they came in.

Radio was dead all morning and most of the day. But from out of nowhere I suddenly hear @unit_399 booming in on 27.375 lsb. I tried to make contact but as soon as he let off the key it sounded like a hornets nest from all the radios yelling at him. Maybe I'll have better luck next time JJ. That 139xlr you're running was sounding fantastic today.

I heard the state of Maine coming in this afternoon when I was out in the mobile. That's the first I ever heard that State before but I wasn't in this Stinking Valley either. Riding high but barefoot so couldn't get a comeback. Some of us don't get Lucky ! LOL

Everything was dead today. Nothing but static. Then I heard 605 out of South Texas come booming in on 27.385 lsb. Never said what kind of radio he was running, but said he was doing 300 watts into a 5-element Gizmotchy on the flat side. When we got our antennas pointed at each other solid 5-7 and we had a nice long QSO. Came back down to the shack around 6pm and hooked up with the Hawaiian Islands. Triple Zero Richard on the Island of Maui was getting over the static enough for me to understand everything he was saying. Then I hooked up with 506 BOB in Honolulu. He was 3 S-units and well above the static. 148GTL that he,"got out of an old fishing boat." into a 1/2 wave wire dipole on the flat side.
Other than those three contacts . . . NADA. Really proud of my 139XLR. Even in the crappiest conditions she gets out. Hopefully tommorrow will be better. 73s

Good day, I have an Icom IC910H radio. I want to program a memory with split frequency tone on TX only and NO tone on RX,. Is this possible to do from the face of the radio? I don't have the interface to connect to a computer.

@Deon very unlikely to get a response here. You are better off starting a thread on the topic.
